Beginning a new chapter in my Journey.

I have started a new disease modifying drug after five years on one similar. My first line of defense over five years ago was Tecfidera. I have tolerated it well, and my subsequent MRI’s have shown no new lesions. I still have a bunch of symptoms that have stayed with me, but I have not had a relapse of worsening of symptoms. I have some of the side effects that make me wonder if something else is better. I started Vumerity today, it is close to Tecfidera, but the side effects are supposed to be less. I have tried to be positive about my treatment, and how MS has changed my life. I will be watching closely for the next few months to make sure I am headed in the right direction. I think that this is a crossroads in my journey, and I believe that the fellow warriors I have met along the way have helped me to handle this disease. I look forward to having in person meetings again, so I can share what we all go through each day.
